Starfront Royale Bathrooms Get Oolaa Smart Mirrors

September 18, 2026

Some bathrooms are assembled piece by piece. The bathrooms at Starfront Royale — a brand-new luxury residential development in Hong Kong — were designed as one composition, and the Oolaa Smart Mirror sits at the center of it. Working together with the project's interior designers, Oolaa supplied a luxury smart mirror bathroom solution in which the mirror, the cabinetry, and the fixtures were planned as a single, integrated design. See the finished rooms in the video above.

What the mirror does

Behind the glass, the mirror is a working display. It shows the time and the weather — the two things everyone wants to know while getting ready — and it goes further: music for the morning routine, and even the user's weight, presented right on the mirror surface. The mirror is framed in matte gold, chosen to sit with the room's dark wood-grain cabinet and marble countertop, so the technology reads as part of the furniture rather than a gadget mounted on top of it.

Underneath, AI connects the mirror to the home's iOS and Google smart home systems. That connection is what turns a beautiful mirror into a useful one: it belongs to the same ecosystem the resident already uses everywhere else in the home, instead of being a standalone screen that speaks a different language.

One bathroom, designed as a whole

The Starfront Royale bathrooms were integrated down to the details most projects leave to chance. The smart mirror, the bathroom cabinet, and a magnetic wall mount for the Dyson hair dryer were designed as one set, so the everyday tools of the bathroom have a planned place rather than a cluttered counter. A smart toilet and a glass shower enclosure carry the same design language across the room, and gold-trim details run through the whole space, tying the mirror's matte gold frame to everything around it.

That is the difference an integrated brief makes. Nothing in the room looks retrofitted, because nothing was: the mirror's size, frame finish, and position were settled with the interior designers at the drawing stage, alongside the marble and the wood grain it would live with.

Why developers choose Oolaa

Starfront Royale is one of more than 31,000 Oolaa installations across Hong Kong and Macau. Oolaa (Viewdex Limited) is a Hong Kong company with its own factory in Shenzhen — factory-direct, with the engineering in-house — which is how mirror finishes, frame colors, and sizes get matched to a project's interior design instead of picked from a fixed catalog.
